‘Her Hunar’ to open global market to women
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Commerce Malik Ghulam M Raza Rabbani Khar underlined the importance of women empowerment on Saturday, saying ‘Her Hunar’ will provide an opportunity for participants to sharpen entrepreneurial skills and acquire much-needed knowledge of the global market.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Her Hunar’ exhibition, he said that it aims to provide a platform for women looking to kick-start an idea, label, brand or production house.
“We cannot grow as a nation if only half of the population works. Women’s empowerment is an essential component for growth in developing nations like Pakistan to lift millions of families out of the poverty cycle,” he said, adding that, “Encouraging women entrepreneurs will result in a positive growth trajectory and assist in meeting the objectives of the United Nations SDGs.”
