Hijack vehicles loaded with cattle, release them after receiving ransom

Armed men broke into a dairy farm and milk packing plant in the Cattle Colony within the limits of Sukhan police station and looted cash, mobile phones and other valuables from the staff.

In other incidents, more than 10 vehicles loaded with cattle of dairy farmers have also been snatched, which the police have not yet recovered. However, some vehicles were released after paying the ransom.

According to Dairy and Cattle Farms Association President Shakir Umar Gujjar, at around 6:20am on Monday, three armed robbers entered his dairy farm at Cattle Colony Road No7 i and took the staff hostage.

The three suspects were wearing shalwar kameez. Two of them were hiding their faces with handkerchiefs. During the incident, the robbers snatched Rs20,000 and five mobile phones from the staff and escaped on a motorcycle.

He mentioned that robbery incidents are on the rise due to lack of police interest as a number of vehicles loaded with dairy farmers' cattle have been snatched.

Shakir Gujjar said three robbers on two motorcycles snatched Rs465,500 and mobile phones from his employees in front of Cattle Colony police station on February 23.
