Police allegedly raid plaintiff’s home
A man has alleged that a suspect nominated by him in a robbery case detained him for five hours after kidnapping him in connivance with local police.
He alleged that the police took Rs450,000, a mobile phone and a blanket from his house during a raid. He was released after intervention by dignitaries of the locality.
The police, on the other hand, claimed that the plaintiff had a record of robbery and theft, and they had evidence, including a video and weapons, required to detain him.
The police authorities sought a report from the SP of Iqbal Town to investigate the matter.
Aslam Javed, a resident of Muzaffar Colony, stated in his application submitted to the police that he was the plaintiff in a case registered in the Samanabad police station. Mirza Sajjad was the accused in the case, who was on interim bail.
He, along with Constable Shamsher and other employees forcibly entered ten complainant’s house and thrashed him at the behest of an official posted in CIA police, placed him in a vehicle, covered his face with a cloth and took him to the CIA Lyallpur Town office, where he was imprisoned for five hours.
