Punjab PA speaker faces NAB probe

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started an investigation against Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan for alleged corruption and misuse of powers, sources told The Express Tribune on Saturday.

Sources said that NAB has obtained important records of the legislation of five private universities from the Legislation Branch of Punjab Assembly. The scope of investigations will be expanded on the records.

They said that there was corruption of tens of millions of rupees for the approval of private universities.

NAB has started investigations against the speaker of the Punjab Assembly as well, anti-graft body's sources said.
