Tastier, spicier, and funnier: 'Khichdi: The Movie' in the works
Kirti Kulhari, the famed actor from Prime Video's show Four More Shots Please!, has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Parminder in the film installment of the popular Indian sitcom, Khichdi. According to The Indian Express, the actor, 37, is over the moon after she announced that she will be returning to the sets of the 2000s comedy.
Talking about the sequel, Kulhari shared, "Khichdi: The Movie is finally happening and it's going to be a hilarious ride. I have so many memories from the first film, from shooting the song Chal Chal Bhonsle Market to doing all the crazy comedy scenes."
Expressing her about reprising her role in Khichdi: The Movie, she added, "I am so happy to return as Parminder in the sequel since this is where it all started for me. I have realised over the years what a massive fan-following Khichdi has, especially among kids and families." She further remarked, "I am often asked why I don't do comedies anymore so it's lovely to return to the genre with this sequel. This Khichdi will be tastier, spicier, and funnier than before."
The film also stars Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Jamnadas Majethia, Nimisha Vakharia, Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak. The Parekh family, which consists of Himanshu, Hansa, Babuji, and Praful, is the focal point of the story.
It highlighted an intriguing relationship between Himanshu and his next-door neighbour, Parminder. Khichdi: The Movie is based on the characters from the popular sitcom Khichdi, Instant Khichdi and Khichdi Returns.
