Uncle confesses to killing 4 year-old, dumping body in canal as search for remains continues

MIANWALI:

A four-year-old child mysteriously disappeared from Mohalla Ramzanabad earlier this week.

Subhan Khan, son of Jamshed Khan, returned home from school, leaving his school bag at home and going outside to play. This was not unusual, but after some time, he did not come home and had disappeared. Even after three days, there was no sign of him.

City Police Mianwali are engaged in the search for the missing child, while locals have alleged before DPO Mianwali that the missing child was killed after being kidnapped and his body was thrown into the canal. The prime suspect was the child's uncle Umar Khan, a resident of Shahbaz Khel, who was arrested on the basis of suspicion and interrogated. Umar confessed to killing the child and throwing his body in the canal. News of the incident spread like wildfire among the community.

Earlier, DPO Mianwali Matiullah Khan Nawani visited the house of the kidnapped child and met the child's father and other relatives. The DPO ordered the recovery of the child within 24 hours and Rescue teams were formed to find Subhan’s body. Rescue teams are currently engaged trying to find the body from the Thal Canal.
