Two unidentified persons die in car crash, suspected of robbery

DIJKOT:

Two unidentified persons died on the spot when their car collided with a pickup van on Satiana Road.

Three other people who had sustained injuries were shifted to the hospital.

A car had been going to Satiana at approximately 2:30 last night when the van traveling from Satiana to Faisalabad collided with the car near Superior University.

A man informed the police about the fatalities. The SHO of Saddar Police Station, Ali Ikram Goraya, rushed to the scene of the accident and found the deceased lying on the road. Police had the bodies shifted to the mortuary unit of the Allied Hospital.

According to SHO Goraya, five number plates, four handguns, 10 magazines, a mobile phone, a plier, a screwdriver, a cutter and other goods were found in the deceased's car.

Police were taking measures to identify the deceased as they surmise that they might have been involved in some heinous activities like nighttime robberies.

Saddar Police took the help of the CRO staff to check if the deceased had had any criminal record.

Meanwhile, in a separate accident, a 10-year-old child and woman died when a bus hit a rickshaw in front of a bakery in Millat Road area in the jurisdiction of Sargodha Road Police Station.
