Two bullet-riddled bodies of suspected robbers found

Police claim the dead were ‘wanted’ in several cases

Two bullet-riddled bodies of alleged bandits were found in a nullah on the outskirts of Peshawar on Saturday.

The police told The Express Tribune that they were informed by the residents of the area that two bodies were lying in a nullah along with a motorcycle. The police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the local police station.

“Both of them had been shot and their bike was also dumped next to them. Later, both were identified as Sadaqat and Adil residents of Kagawala area of Badhaber. The family was informed and both the bodies were sent for autopsy,” a police official said, adding that both were wanted by the police in several cases including murder, attempted murder, and two armed robbery cases.

“Both of them had personal enmity and were wanted in a murder case of two people, including a child, by the Inqilab police station.

They also robbed a petrol pump in Surzai in November last in which Rs900,000 was stolen. Similarly, they also snatched Rs1.2 million from another petrol pump on Feb 9 this month,” the official said.
