Leader of remakes: Kartik Aaryan's 'Character Dheela 2.0' leaves Salman Khan's fans unimpressed
Indian actor Kartik Aaryan's film Shehzada just dropped its latest song, Character Dheela 2.0, which is a rendition of the popular track from Salman Khan's hit movie Ready. Even though Salman himself wished Kartik all the best before the song's release, it seems like the megastar's fans are not impressed by it.
Taking to Twitter, Kartik shared the official music video of Character Dheela 2.0 on February 9. In the one-minute clip, we can see Kartik sporting his signature sunglasses and grooving to the sizzling number with a milk bottle in hand. Although the Freddy star tried his best to put on a great show, Twitter users rushed to the comment section of his post to express their disappointment about the recreation.
"Great song, only if Salman Khan was in it the video would have been much more fun," remarked one fan. Another user curtly said, "Sorry, but this is awful."
As the video circulated online, more users offered their two cents to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor.
"Stop doing remakes, Kartik, bring something new!" wrote one tweep, while another advised, "Are you trying to be the Leader of Remakes? Don't be as you have natural talent."
"Remake King," commented another dissatisfied fan.
A tweep also expressed their dislike at the recent trend of remaking old songs. "Stop it! You are a talented actor, and after starring in a few original films, you have started doing remakes now just to attain popularity. You are now starting to ruin classic songs from the 2000s, please stop using them in every film. Please stop humiliating SRK, Salman, Ajay, and Akshay's much-acclaimed songs! Don't retouch their legacy," the post read.
