JI demands appointment of locals in police
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi has strongly condemned the PPP government in Sindh and the police department over their failure to tackle the rise in violent crimes in the city and demanded of the authorities concerned to bring reforms in the police department.
JI Karachi chief Naeemur Rehman reiterated his demanded to induct local citizens in Karachi police and bring the ratio of locals up to 80 per cent in the force. The JI leader also demanded of the authorities to purge the police of corrupt police personnel.
Rehman made the demand while commenting over a report by the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) indicating increase in crime in the city
