The army and police conducted a successful joint operation in Lakki Marwat, Khyber-Paktunkhwa in the wee hours of Wednesday, eliminating 12 terrorists belonging to the TTP Azharuddin Group.
The militants were going to Tank from Lakki Marwat for committing terrorist activities.
The joint party of the army and Lakki police created a roadblock and stopped the terrorists.
The terrorists opened fire but the security forces remained unhurt.
The police targeted the terrorists’ vehicle with a rocket launcher.
The identification process of terrorists is under way.
In December 2022, the Azharuddin Group was responsible for the martyrdom of six policemen in Lakki Marwat.
