PESHAWAR:

After the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also decided to participate in the by-elections of the National Assembly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

In this regard, a meeting of the PML-N K-P chapter was held in the provincial secretariat under the chairmanship of the party's provincial President Engineer Amir Muqam.

In the meeting, it was decided to submit the nomination papers for the by-election of the National Assembly.

Adviser to the Prime Minister Engineer Muqam said, “We will move forward [regarding the elections] in line with the decision of the party leadership.”

He had a detailed discussion with the party officials on the current political situation of the country and the reorganisation of the party.

Muqam said that the district leadership should ensure reorganisation up to the union and village council levels in each district.

The participants of the meeting assured all-out support for the Kashmiris in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

All participants, including the adviser, strongly condemned the Peshawar blast and prayed for the martyrs.

A strategy was also decided to make PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz's visits to Abbottabad and Peshawar a success.

Muqam expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf on his demise.

He said, “May Allah forgive the deceased and grant his family the courage and patience to bear the deep trauma.”
