The four-day solo exhibition of artist Farrukh Shahab opened at a local art gallery in Karachi on Friday.

Twenty-five paintings of Shahab have been put on display at the exhibition where a large number of art enthusiasts turned up. Popular TV actress Mahnoor Baloch was also among them.

The visitors praised the paintings of Shahab, who is known for his unique style.

According to the artist, the exhibition will continue until February 6. “In every culture, we find representations of avian in the form of pictures, symbols, beliefs, and mode of communication, said the artist. It is probably as old as human consciousness,” he said.

“Birds have always been significant in the development of human history, serving as anything from bearers of God’s wrath and rule to spirit advisors and musicians,” he added.
