Mahira Khan recalls magical time filming 'Chann Pichay' in 'The Legend of Maula Jatt'

The Bilal Lashari directorial is etched in the actor's mind till date

The Legend of Maula Jatt continues to be Pakistani cinema's grandest offering in 2022. Although the much-acclaimed film was released in October last year, its outstanding cinematography and storyline remains etched in our minds to date. However, it appears we aren't the only ones as actor Mahira Khan also took to social media recently to reminisce filming the Bilal Lashari directorial.

Taking to Instagram, the Raees star posted a video of the lauded song Chann Pichay, alongside a heartfelt caption to relay her feelings about the film.

"This night that hides behind the moon shall pass. Our saga told to the world will forever stay. The eyes to the heart will whisper but one thing. Our saga to the world will forever stay," Mahira penned in memory of the song.

She then went on to detail the unexpected outcome of the Sarmad Ghafoor’s track. "I remember watching this scene in the film and gasping while shooting, I had no idea the way it would be knitted together. Ah, the world of Maula Jatt!" wrote the Superstar actor, adding a smiling emoji at the end.

Mahira later revealed that Chann Pichay was very important to her because it was the first song she ever sang. She said, "It's my first time singing, so give love only."

"As my director, Bilal Lashari says 'it's all feels'," she further added, while also giving a "huge shout out" to her team.

Before concluding her message, Mahira reminded her followers that The Legend of Maula Jatt is still playing in some cinemas. "Go Go Go!" she instructed her fans.
