Shah Rukh Khan, Paulo Coelho's Twitter exchange is the best thing you'll see today
Shah Rukh Khan is truly a global star as the actor has fans across the world. Bollywood's King Khan has often been hailed as an inspiration to many others, whether they are Pakistani or Indian stars. However, Khan, 57, has also found a star in celebrated author, Paulo Coelho.
On Thursday, the Alchemist author shared a video posted by Khan, where the Bollywood star greeted his fans outside his Mumbai residence Mannat. The author, while lauding India's arguably biggest star, penned, "King. Legend. Friend. But above all great actor. (for those who don't know him in the West, I strongly suggest My Name is Khan - and I am not a terrorist")."
Khan replied to the author's tweet this morning and wrote, "You are always too kind my friend. Let us meet up sooner than soon! Bless you."
Coelho has often sung praises of the Dilwale star. A self-confessed fan of Khan's performance in My Name Is Khan, the author had tweeted a few years back as well. "My Name Is Khan (2009) is the best movie I watched this year," Coelho tweeted. "Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Congrats on My Name is Khan. I wish we could see more of your movies in Europe. I had to wait for six years to watch this," he wrote in another tweet.
Responding to the author's tweet, Khan wrote, "Send me your address, sir. I will supply you with all Indian films as they release. We read you as soon as you write. We are blessed. Thanks."
Khan made a Bollywood comeback after a four-year hiatus with Pathaan. The film, within a week of its release, has earned more than INR7 billion globally. Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles, is directed by Siddharth Anand.
