‘Burglars’ arrested in DHA

Clifton police also launched a crackdown on Afghan nationals living illegally and scrap dealers buying stolen goods

Clifton police claimed to have busted a three-member gang for burglaries in shops and offices. All suspects were of Afghan origin. Clifton police station officials said the suspects were involved in thefts at shops and offices in DHA. Police recovered Rs110,000 stolen from various shops from them. As per officials a rag picker conducted recce of the area and guide the thieves for the right place to strike.

Clifton police have also launched a crackdown on Afghan nationals living illegally and scrap dealers buying stolen goods. Separately, Sahil police arrested three Afghan rag pickers and Darakhshan police arrested more than 20 Afghan national under Foreign Act.

The South district police have launched a drive to control incidents of thefts in upscale localities of DHA and Clifton. In this regard, SP Clifton has given a particular task to officers of the Clifton division.
