Priyanka reveals daughter Malti Marie’s face to the world

The Jonas Brother received a star at the Hall of Fame on Monday but Malti Marie became the star of the show

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas and husband Nick Jonas officially introduced their daughter to the world on Monday. They revealed Malti Marie's face to the media and fans for the first time at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the Jonas Brothers received their very own star. Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas attended the ceremony held in their honour with Priyanka, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas, reported Hindustan Times.

On the occasion, Priyanka wore a dark brown bodycon dress featuring a raised neckline and a midi-length hemline. The actor paired the attire with minimal accessories, including printed brown high heels, a sleek diamond ring, dainty bracelets, and double hoop earrings. Her little munchkin, whose full name is Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, looked delightful in an off-white tweed jacket-skirt styled with a cute headband. Pictures of the mother-daughter duo have been circulating online ever since.

Many of them see the Quantico star’s daughter, who celebrated her first birthday earlier this month, perched on her mother’s lap. Priyanka and Nick welcomed Malti via surrogacy last year.

Priyanka has posted several photos with Malti in the past but none revealed her face. One particular image of Priyanka with Malti's face turned away from the camera even divided the internet. A user went to the extent of accusing her of using her daughter as a "prop". Many also questioned the need of having her daughter in her pictures if she didn't want to reveal her face. But Priyanka’s fans backed her, declaring that it was her "right and choice.”

Many, still, questioned her decision to opt for surrogacy instead of having the baby herself. While Priyanka has always laughed off the criticism, in an interview with British Vogue recently, she said, “I had medical complications. This was a necessary step, and I’m so grateful I was in a position where I could do this. You don’t know me. You don’t know what I’ve been through. And just because I don’t want to make my medical history public, doesn’t give you the right to make up whatever the reasons were. I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter. Because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too.”
