Cholistan cycle rally breaks gender barriers
The TDCP International Cholistan Jeep Rally has officially begun with a thrilling bicycle rally from Kandewale bridge to Derawar Fort.
Over 30 cyclists, including a strong representation of women, took part in the event organised by the provincial tourism department and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP).
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the Cholistan Jeep Rally and encourage young people to adopt healthy activities. Over a distance of 30km, participants were treated to scenic views of the Cholistan desert and accorded a warm reception at Derawar Fort.
A prize distribution ceremony was held at the Cholistan Desert Resort of the TDCP, where certificates were awarded to all participants of the cycle rally. The event was conducted under the supervision of TDCP Managing Director Agha Muhammad Ali Abbas and supported by the local administration, police and the Rescue 1122 service.
