Govt shakes up seven ranges of police dept

The caretaker setup’s spree of transfers and postings in the province, which began on Monday when the Lahore Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar was replaced by Bilal Siddique Kamyana, continued on Friday as the province saw as many as seven regional police officers (RPOs) out of a total of 10 transferred.

An order of transfer of at least 18 officers was issued. It included the seat of Additional IG of South Punjab as well. The ranges included Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Sahibzada Shahzad Sultan, serving as the Additional Inspector General of Police, South Punjab, has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Crimes, Investigation Branch, CPO of Punjab, Maqsoodul Hassan, has been appointed as Additional Inspector General of Police, South Punjab.

DIG Sarfaraz Ahmad Falki, currently serving as Regional Police Officer, Faisalabad, has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, currently serving as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Research & Development, CPO Punjab, has been transferred and appointed as Regional Police Officer, Faisalabad.

Nasir Mehmood Satti, Regional Police Officer, Rawalpindi, has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Syed Khurram Ali, Regional Police Officer, D.G. Khan, has been transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Rawalpindi.

Dr Inam Waheed, Regional Police Officer, Sheikhupura, has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Babar Sarfaraz Alfa, DIG, VVIP Security, Special Branch, Punjab, Lahore, has been transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Sheikhupura.

Muhammad Azhar Akram, Regional Police Officer, Sargodha, has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Shariq Kamal Siddique, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Logistics & Procurement, CPO Punjab, has been transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Sargodha.

Munir Ahmad Zia Rao, Regional Police Officer, Bahawalpur, has been transferred, and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Rai Babar Saeed, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, CPO Punjab has been transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Bahawalpur.

Mirza Faran Baig, Regional Police Officer, Sahiwal, has been transferred and directed to report to Services and General Administration Department.

Mehboob Rashid Mian, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Security Division, Lahore, has been transferred and posted as Regional Police Officer, Sahiwal.

Muhammad Akmal, District Police Officer, D.G. Khan, has been assigned the additional charge of the post of Regional Police Officer.
