Reliable leaker Roland Quandt believes that Samsung may charge more for its upcoming Galaxy S23 than it did for its previous S22 series.

He said that there might be a price jump of as much as 100 Euros in European retail stores.

Quandt quoted the starting price of the new phone at 959 Euros in Spain for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Ultra may cost 1,589 Euros. 9to5Google recently, also reported that the phones may cost AUS $100 more in Australia.

Samsung's profits have slowed down in recent months, with an estimated quarterly operating profit falling by 69 percent year-over-year. The company also shipped 15.6 percent fewer phones in Q4 2022 than it did in Q4 2021, data released by analysis firm, IDC, revealed.

The price increase is not expected to be global, as US may see the phone price at the same price as the current models. The move might have been prompted by Apple's decision to retain the prices of its old iPhone series in the US this year.
