Teaser drop: 'Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan' is Salman Khan's excuse to flex his muscles, again

The Farhad Samji directorial is set to release on April 21, 2023

The official teaser for Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan has just dropped and it revises the same old formula, regurgitating done-to-death punch lines, reprising over-the-top action sequences and inviting another young heroine to lure audiences into the cinemas. The film follows the generic storyline that is mostly utilised in all of Salman’s offerings.

As the one-minute clip begins, the Radhe actor is seen engaging in a hand-to-hand combat with another character. And of course, the fight scene takes place inside a moving train. We are then introduced to Khan's co-star, Pooja Hegde, who is clad in a beautifully sequenced sari and asks Khan his name. To this, the Big Boss host says, "I have no name. I'm known as Bhai Jaan here."

With just this dialogue, one can assume that the upcoming Farhad Samji directorial will rely on star power rather than an intriguing plot, which is mostly the case with all of Khan's recent projects.

Carrying on the stereotypical trope, the teaser again shifts to a series of intense, violent but also slightly cringey scenes with Khan single-handedly battling with a number of strong and muscular men. The rest of the clip is also a glimpse into the entertainment Khan's film intends to provide: classic dance moves, crowded carnivals, blood and gore, and lots of slow-motion fighting sequences.

While Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan is promised to be a blockbuster experience by its creators, it appears only Khan's huge fandom will be able to digest it. The rest may find the exaggeration in particularly, quite maddening, especially if the audience isn't familiar with the Pathaan actor's old-fashioned tricks on the big screen.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the film is scheduled to be released on April 21, 2023. The plot follows the story of a man who refuses to marry since he believes it may create conflict in his extensive family. His brothers, who've already found companions, come together to find a match for Khan's character. Hegde will be seen as Salman's love interest and this is the first time that the two will be seen together onscreen.

Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Venkatesh and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles alongside an ensemble supporting cast.
