Effects of new series of western winds entering North Balochistan have persisted in form of icy winds

KARACHI:

The new wave of cold may cause cold weather in the upper city from today, while the minimum temperature may drop to eight degrees Celsius.

The effects of the new series of western winds entering North Balochistan have persisted in the form of icy winds for the past several days.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was 23.6 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the south-westerly winds of the sea are expected to remain inactive in the city for the next few days, whereas the north-easterly winds are expected to blow in Balochistan. The temperature is likely to drop to 8 degrees today.

As per the cold wave alert issued by the Meteorological Department Early Warning Centre, the cold wave has started affecting the upper side of Sindh and from today it can cover the districts of the lower surface of Sindh.

Under the influence of this weather, a minimum of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius may be recorded in Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad.
