Schoolgirls ‘torture, humiliate classmate over drug dispute’
A group of schoolgirls tortured and humiliated a student over a drug abuse dispute reported at an elite school in the Defence area of the provincial capital.
The video of the incident went viral showing a bunch of students overpowering a girl and beating her with punches, slaps and kicks in her face, forcing her to apologise.
Imran Younas, the father of the victim E* registered a complaint before the police that her daughter's school fellow Jannat was a drug addict and wanted his daughter to drag into the company. However, she refused and informed him about the issue. He sent Jannat's video to her father.
This infuriated Jannat. She along with her sister, Umaima Malik and others dragged the victim to the school canteen and started torturing and insulting her.
The father of the victim also alleged that the suspects tried to strangle his daughter and also stole over 2.5 tolas of gold necklace. The incident was filmed by other students and shared on social media.
In the video, the victim was seen crying for help while a girl was sitting on her back twisting the victim’s arm and hurling abuse. Another student sat on the victim’s back and a girl kicked her face.
The girl on the back hurls nude abuse at the victim E*. “Say sorry. No one will be coming after you,” she told the victim while humiliating her.
The victim reportedly received injuries and has been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case and were investigating the matter further.
