After accusing the government of failing to control the killings in Karachi, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday contacted former ally Pakistan Peoples Party to discuss the violence in the metropolis. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan met President Asif Ali Zardari at the presidency and discussed the steps afoot to restore peace and normalcy in the city.
A statement issued by the presidency said: “The president assured full support of the federal government to the provincial government in restoring law and order in Karachi, and urged for taking stern action against all extortionists and criminal elements regardless of political affiliations.” The president said that all political forces and the general public has to come forward and complement the provincial government’s efforts in maintaining law and order in Karachi and restoring normalcy to the city, the statement added.

Got to give credit to Zardari for his International diplomacy. He is definately great in this department.
Six months later and a huge blood bath - there is some talk of planning and talking and planning . . . .
its like once criminal announcing his support from other criminals. Why no action agains Z. Mirza when he attacked the journalists? Why no action against Mr. Z if he made those alleged comments bragging about his political mischievousness.
And I know that you won't publish these comments.
Thank you so very much, people of Pakistan will be honored by this favor of yours highly :)
Whats disturbing is that these extremist kind of people have political affiliation - not that its a new thing, but just something to think about. They are part of them.
