KARACHI:

Judicial Magistrate South has issued notices on the acquittal plea of two MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who had committed vandalism and intimidation outside the house of PTI defector MPA Ramesh Kumar during the no-confidence move against the then PM Imran Khan.

The trial was held in the court of Judicial Magistrate South in Karachi City Court.

Two members of the Sindh Assembly of PTI, named in the case, filed an acquittal petition.

The petitioners included MPAs Saeed Afridi and Shahnawaz Jadoon.

The defence lawyer stated that the witnesses of the case are not appearing.

The court has ordered to stop the salaries of police officers and witnesses.

The court issued a notice on the application and sought a response from the parties.
