Spotify's new time capsule lets you visit your music taste a year from now
Spotify has introduced a new feature called "Playlist in a bottle" that will capture your current music taste and let you visit it a year later.
According to the company, users will be able to capture their moments by the time January 2024 comes around.
Users will have to navigate to spotify.com/playlistinabottle from their mobile device and begin by selecting a time capsule of their choice, which include a bottle, jean pocket, gumball machine, lunch box or teddy bear.

They will then be asked to answer a series of song-inspired prompts, like what song reminds them of their favourite person or what song they want to hear live in 2023, etc.
After the series of prompts have been completed, the time capsule is sent off and preserved for next year.
Users will be able to share their personalised card to their social media channels with the hashtag #PlaylistInABottle.
The feature is going live today in 27 markets and will be available for free and premium users across all iOS and Android devices.
Spotify has also set a deadline for users to create their playlist bottle by January 31 or miss out on the trend.
