LAHORE:

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has launched inquiries against the alleged frontmen of PML-Q leader and former federal minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi.

An inquiry has been started against the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker, Erum Amin and Arshad Iqbal.

Sources said an inquiry has been initiated against the three persons on the basis of suspicious transactions in their accounts.

Erum also works in Moonis' company, the sources said, adding that money was transferred from the accounts of the three persons to the accounts of the younger Chaudhry and other family members.

The bank account details of the three persons do not match their profiles, sources further said.

The three persons are also mentioned in the money laundering case filed in the court against Moonis.
