Us open: Djokovic named top seed

Will be followed by world number two Rafael Nadal, the defending champion.

World number one and reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic was confirmed as top seed in the men's singles at the US Open.



Djokovic, who is seeking his first US Open title, is the number one seed at the tournament for the first time. He will be followed by world number two Rafael Nadal, the defending champion. Switzerland's Roger Federer is seeded third, while Andy Murray is placed fourth.
