The development schemes under the award will include the construction and maintenance of roads, streets, and sewerage network as well as the repairing and installing of new street lights.

The contractor started the preliminary work soon after the award of the contract to him on special instructions. It has been directed to complete the development schemes in the shortest amount of time.

It should be noted that due to the absence of local body representatives in the Municipal Corporation, the development schemes are continuously being proposed by the members of the national and provincial assemblies.

During the current financial year, all development funds have been kept at the discretion of the MNAs and MPAs.
