No bail, Daniya Shah stays in jail

The TikToker from Southern Punjab city of Lodhran, Daniya Shah, who shot to fame for becoming the third wife of late TV game show host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, continues to spend her days in jail custody as arguments linger on in the court over her bail application.

The widow of Dr Aami Liaquat was picked up from her home in Lodhran on December 16 by the Federal Investigation Agency's cybercrime wing on charges of posting objectionable videos of Dr Aamir Liaquat on the social media.

Dr Aamir's daughter from first wife is the complainant.

While, Daniya's defence lawyer Liaquat Ali Gabol Advocate was trying to secure her bail since December 17, the FIA attorney on Tuesday sought time for arguments.

The counsel for FIA told the East district sessions judge that he has received a copy of the application and would now prepare arguments against it.

The court adjourned the hearing till December 29.

The East district judicial magistrate had rejected Daniya's bail plea on December 23 and sent her on judicial remand.

Rejected by magistrate, her defence moved sessions court to review the bail plea.
