Levies man gunned down in Chaman

Attacker managed to escape after committing the crime in broad daylight

QUETTA:

A Levies man was killed when unidentified miscreants opened fire at him in Chaman border town of Balochistan on Saturday.

Official sources told The Express Tribune that the attackers were riding a bike who fired at the Levies personnel deployed there and managed to escape after committing the crime in broad daylight.

The ill-fated Levies man has been identified as Bashir Ahmed. The body of the victim was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Chaman where the autopsy was performed.

Levies personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area. They registered an FIR and started investigation in the case.

Security was tightened in the area after the incident.

Chaman has already witnessed bomb explosions and targeted attacks in the recent past.
