Twitter Blue to include higher ranking replies, 60-minute video uploads

Twitter Blue paid users will get priority-ranked replies on tweets along with a 60-minute video upload limit

Twitter Blue paid subscription now has newly added perks with "prioritized rankings in conversations" and video uploads of 60 minutes in length. The features had been promised to Blue subscribers by Elon Musk last month, but the update is rolling out now.

According to Twitter's Support page, the priority reply "prioritizes your replies on Tweets that you interact with", as the tweet replies will appear at the top of the page.

The priority rankings are aimed to "help lower the visibility of scams, spam and bots."

Regular users have expressed concerns that this feature will lower their experience, while paid priority messages will aid spammers, trolls and others to amplify their messages.

New video rules for the $8 subscription will boost the length of video uploads from 10 minutes and 512MB to 60 minutes and 2GB at up to 1080p resolution, only when uploaded from the web. The 10-minute rule will, however, still apply to Android and iOS users.

Twitter says that it may "modify or adapt your original video for distribution, syndication, publication or broadcast by us and our partners" or might change the bitrate/resolution depending on the viewer's internet speed. Musk had previously announced that the company intended to pay users who uploaded videos on the platform, exceeding YouTube's 55% cut.
