The Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab declared Punjab Police as the most corrupt public department in the province, on Saturday.
In a report, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab said inquiries were conducted against 6,000 government officials in the first five months of 2010, out of these officials 2,000 were the employees of the police department.
According to the report, the Revenue Department is ranked second in the corruption list, while the Food Department is third. Irrigation, Local Government and Education were fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
