Accountability court judge transferred
An accountability court judge hearing cases of multiple important political figures was transferred on Monday to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Islamabad District and Session Court Judge (ADSJ) Nasir Javed Rana was appointed to the Islamabad Accountability Court after the Ministry of Law and Justice approved the IHC's request.
In April 2019, ADSJ Nasir Javed Rana was appointed to the civil district and sessions courts of Islamabad Division West.
According to the notification today (Monday), Javed Rana has been appointed to the accountability court for three years.

He replaced Muhammad Azam Khan who, after the completion of his term, was transferred to the IHC, and later, upon the request of the high court, the law ministry had appointed him as the special judge central.
In October 2019, Azam Khan, who was working in the banking court at the time, had been appointed as the accountability court judge on a deputation basis for a period of three years.
It may be noted that cases of key political figures, including former president Asif Ali Zardari, former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former finance minister Miftah Ismail, former chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, lawmaker Faryal Talpur and others are being heard in the accountability court.
