MIRANSHAH:

Three people were killed when their car was attacked by unidentified miscreants in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on late Friday night.

Police told The Express Tribune that on the outskirts of Mir Ali, a car was ambushed, which caught fire and as a result three people traveling in the vehicle were burnt.

“The identity of only one man has been established while we are trying our level best to ascertain the identity of two others,” a police official said, adding that the white colour car was completely burnt in the fire.

The attackers managed to escape after committing the crime. Residents of the area said that it was yet another targeted attack while police claimed that it was premature to jump to the conclusion.

Residents shifted the bodies to a local hospital and informed police about the incident.

Due to lack of investigation skills and shortage of trained police officials, most of the cases could not be probed properly making all such attacks highly suspicious.

In a separate incident, three people were killed after heated argument in Hangu district of K-P. Police registered an FIR and started investigation in the case.
