Kazakh artists laud Pakistan’s culture and heritage
Eminent singers and musicians from Kazakhstan said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan are bound by love, brotherhood, and cultural heritage and the two countries can be brought closer by establishing cultural ties.
The artists named Sarzhan Masayin, Balkhan Smagolov, Balgabek Smagolov, and Alzhan Bybusinova expressed these views at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) the other day.
Kazakh artists said that this was the first time that they had received the opportunity to perform in Pakistan and the love and response they have received is commendable. They said that they aim to demonstrate their art in more cities in the near future.
They said that the music and poetry of the northern regions of Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kazakhstan are quite similar. We wish that Pakistani folk artists also visit Kazakhstan and highlight the culture of Pakistan there. They further said that Islamabad was a modern city built on purpose whereas Lahore is famous for its cultural heritage and has its own unique place in the world.
While talking about the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, the artists said that there are cultural centres, music halls, cinemas and libraries, puppet theatres, World War II memorials, botanical gardens, regional museums, and Costa Cafe. Moreover, we have seashores, the statue of Taras Shevchenko, coloured mountains, Babaji Khatun’s shrine, Talas river and Taraz which is the oldest city in South Kazakhstan and is a favorite destination for tourists due to hidden secrets of the last century.
Other attractions include Akirtas, Stonehenge, Mazar Shah Mansoor, Ayesha Bibi Mausoleum, Ayesha Bibi Village, Taraz Regional Museum and Shakrestan Market.
