Tribal chiefs back Koh-e-Sulaiman uplift

Tribal chiefs and commissioner say in a joint statement that Jirga system was a hundred-year-old tribal tradition

DERA GHAZI KHAN:

A joint consultative meeting of tribal chiefs and chiefs of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts was held at the Circuit House.

The Commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan, Liaquat Ali Chattha, took the Sardars into confidence on the development of Koh-e- Sulaiman, law and order, administration, recruitment to Baloch Levies posts and other related issues.

Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Sardar Tariq Mehmood Khan Mazari, Sardar Mir Badshah Qaisrani, Sardar Jafar Khan Buzdar, Sardar Haider Khan Gurchani, Sardar Aurangzeb Khan Khatran, Sardar Bahadur Khan Lund and others participated in the meeting.

The tribal chiefs and the commissioner said in a joint statement that the Jirga system was a hundred-year-old tribal tradition.

Beyond political affiliation, they will work together for the development of Koh-e-Sulaiman.

Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha said that the settlement of six Mozat of the Koh-e-Sulaiman and the boundary of 248 areas had been completed.

The tribal force had been given modern weapons and vehicles.
