Three policemen injured in illegal warehouse evacuation operation

A well-known chef, Shireen Anwar, was robbed at gunpoint by unidentified robbers near Tariq Road on Wednesday.

According to details, Anwar had gone to Tariq Road when unidentified robbers snatched her jewelry, cash, and phone at gunpoint.

As she was afraid, she refrained from registering a police complaint and decided not to take any legal action. The bandits identified during the robbery that she was a famous chef and told her that they know who she is.

Meanwhile, a man was deprived of cash and a motorcycle at gunpoint outside his residence located in the Liaquatabad area. As per the CCTV footage, the citizen was parking his bike outside his house when two robbers on a motorcycle stopped him and snatched his phone, cash, and motorcycle.

The suspects were well-dressed, but their faces were not visible in the footage. Separately, three policemen were injured as a security guard of an illegally constructed warehouse opened fire on them near Super Highway.

The injured police officials, identified as ASI Asghar, Constable Ghulam Hussain, and Constable Saddam, were immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital for medical assistance. Police took immediate action and arrested the security guard, identified as Hussain Ahmed, and recovered the weapon from him.

According to Super Highway Police Station SHO Faisal Jaffri, an illegal warehouse was constructed by land grabbers near the Super Highway New Sabzi Mandi. A case was registered at the SITE police station against the illegal occupation.
