Drake adorns necklace with 42 engagement rings for all the times he thought of proposing
Popular Canadian rapper Drake's short-lived but interesting dating life often makes headlines. So much so, that the singer was even featured on Saturday Night Live sketch, which parodied his past relationships. Taking the banter to a new level, the singer has now commissioned a piece of jewellery to reference his dating life in a rather unusual way.
Taking to Instagram the singer recently revealed a new blinged-out necklace made out of 42 diamonds to represent engagement rings for "all the times he thought about it but never did it."
The exquisite piece of jewellery, which was crafted out of 18K white gold, was fashioned by renowned jewelry designer Alex Moss of New York and included 351.38 carats of diamonds.
Moss also shared a video of the necklace, titled "Previous Engagements," in the caption. In the clips shared online, the necklace is displayed inside a locked briefcase with the designer's tag on top of it. As the video plays out, a man with gloved hands opens the case, while a voiceover describes the process and meaning behind it.
"Bordering the impossible," the female voiceover said. "An expedition spanning 14 months, every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection. Each stone is meticulously set, utilizing the eagle claw technique. A true wonder of the jewelry world. Presented by Alex Moss New York and Drake."
