LAHORE:

At least five shops in Ayubia Market, which is adjacent to the Muslim Town Police Station, were broken into by unidentified suspects in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The suspects reportedly arrived at the market in a car, broke the locks of the shops and stole valuables. According to reports, the suspects were quite relaxed as they went about looting the shops, so much so that they treated themselves with soft drinks and biscuits while they collected their booty.

As the shopkeepers arrived at their shops in the morning they were horrified to see what had happened. They immediately informed the police about the incidents of robbery.

A heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.

The SHO of Muslim Town Police Station also visited the crime scene and told the shopkeepers that the suspects would be arrested once they were identified with the help of the footage on the CCTV cameras.
