KAHUTA:

The sale of adulterated milk and yogurt continues in Kahuta and its suburbs without any fear.

Sources revealed that this milk and yogurt is being supplied to shops every day with the help of several health officers.

Shopkeepers buy this milk at Rs60 to Rs70 per kg and sell it at a rate of Rs180 to Rs200 per kg. Similarly, the exact same milk is being used to make yogurt which is also being sold at high rates to the residents of the area.

This is being practiced in kahuta for years now and unfortunately, the health department and the administration have stayed silent on
the matter.

The residents of kahuta have demanded commissioner Rawalpindi, AC Kahota and EDO health to take strict action against these elements and seal these shops.

The citizens complained that hundreds of residents have suffered from food poisoning and other stomach infections due to the consumption of these adulterated products.
