Injured youth turn out to be suspects on the run

Had told hospital staff they were injured by robbers

KARACHI:

Two people who went to the Civil Hospital with gunshot injuries turned out to be suspects wounded in a shootout.

Adeel, 20, and Abdul Rauf, 22, had told the police at the medico-legal department of the hospital that they were shot and injured by robbers in the Gulshan-e-Ghazi area.

The Medico Legal Officer (MLO) of the Civil Hospital doubted their statement and informed the Ittehad Town police through 15 Police Control.

The police arushed to the hospital and arrested both the two injured people.

According to Ittehad Town police station SHO, Ghulam Rasool Arbab, both the injured are bandits. At around 8pm on Sunday, they were looting a citizen in district central within the jurisdiction of Gulbahar police station when a citizen opened fore on them.

They, however, managed their escape in injured condition. Later, they went for medical help at a private hospital, but the staff refused to give them any treatment. They finally went to the Civil Hospital.

The police are checking their criminal history.
