Adviser seeks transparency in arms licence policy

PESHAWAR:

The adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister on home and tribal affairs has issued directives for revising the arms licence policy in order to facilitate the people for the acquisition of arms licence in a transparent, easy and convenient manner.

The orders were issued by Babar Saleem Swati during a meeting held to review the arms licence policy at the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs here on Monday.

The Home Department special secretary, deputy secretary administration and other officials were in attendance. It was informed during the meeting that the total number of registered arms dealers in K-P was 1,555.
