SUP blames PPP for death and destruction caused by floods

The leaders of Sindh United Party on Sunday held Sindh’s ruling party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) entirely responsible for the massive destructions and deaths caused by floods.

Syed Zain Shah, Ameer Azad Panhwar, Roshan Buririo , Ghulam Mohammad Dilber Sindhi, Syed Haider Shah and other leaders of SUP addressed a rally that marched from Allah Wala Chowk to Badin Press Club.

They lashed out at the rulers of Sindh for their alleged callousness and indifference towards the miseries of the millions of the people of 23 districts of Sindh.

SUP President Syed Zain Shah floods wreaked havoc in entire 23 districts of Sindh despite early warnings by Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Moreover, officials of Balochistan had informed the Sindh government about the torrents heading from their direction towards Sindh.

He said it was the prime responsibility of rulers to restore the natural channels of water so that such disastrous conditions could be prevented in future.

Zain Shah said that all the faulty projects like Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) and Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD) should be corrected and redesigned so that floodwaters could easily be drained out towards Arabian Sea.
