Watan Cards: 53,782 families to be compensated

KARACHI: Nearly 53,782 flood-affected families who have received their Watan cards are going to get their money within two days, said Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas on Wednesday. A payment of Rs11.7 billion has already been made for the remaining 636,909 families. The chief secretary received a report from the department which had been made in consultation with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and claimed that the remaining flood survivors would receive their Watan cards in two days.
