Father of three dies in car-trailer collision

A man died and his wife and three children were injured in a collision between a car and a trailer on Hub River Road in Baldia Town, Saeedabad area in the early hours of Monday.

The trailer driver had left his truck on road without any parking lights or warning lights. In the meanwhile, Hansi Ram Chand, 45, came driving down the road and saw the trailer only when it was too late, Saeedabad police station officials said after examining the collision site.

Hansi, his wife, Pooja, 40, and their children Roshni, 14, Rajveer, 13, and Ajit, 6, were brought to nearby Murshid Hospital, where the doctors pronounced Hansi dead on arrival (DOA).

However, Hansi's relatives who had come to the hospital got furious and refused to accept that Hansi had passed away and took him and the injured to a hospital on Stadium Road.

Doctors at the said hospital also confirmed Hansi as DOA, leaving the family devastated and heartbroken.
