Death toll of Sehwan accident reaches 21

One more passenger travelling in the van which met an accident near Sehwan, killing 20 women and children, succumbed to injuries at Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Sciences, Jamshoro district.
Popari Phulpoto, a 15-year-old girl, fought for her life for around 40 hours on a ventilator of the institute, breathed her last late on Saturday night taking the death toll to 21.
An inquiry conducted by National Highway Authority Member Muneer Memon has reportedly blamed some officers of NHA for the incident which happened on N-55 Indus Highway stretch from Bhan Syedabad to Sehwan.
Meanwhile, provincial minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while talking to the media in Sukkur on Saturday said negligence of deputy commissioner Jamshoro capt (r) Fariduddin Mustafa and assistant commissioner Sehwan has emerged in the incident.
