Two commit suicide at Sea View

Both were married, albeit to other people

A man and a woman trapped in love with no solution to their relationship ended their lives by consuming poison at the Sea View Beach, a popular spot where couples come to spend time.

Mirza Rizwan Baig, 30, a mechanic by profession and S*, 28, were married but to other persons.

Baig and S, residents of the densely populated old city area of Soldier Bazaar left their homes on Friday evening. S family got alarmed when she was missing from home for hours. By night Baig and S called their families and told them that they have decided to end their lives and have consumed poison.

Their relatives rushed to the spot, only to find them lying unconscious with a small crowd of people around them. S and Baig were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in critical condition. However, they died late in the night.

Sahil police station officials shared that the couple was seen sitting on the beach's wall like hundreds of other such couples and families who come here to catch some fresh air. However, the duo consumed some poisonous substance and collapsed.

They were taken to JPMC where Medico Legal Officer (MLO) Dr Abdul Basit said that both the deceased had physical signs of death by consuming poisonous substance.

However, families of Baig and S refused autopsy and took the bodies after completing legal formalities and paperwork.
