HYDERABAD:

Agriculture experts have urged farmers to avoid unnecessary use of pesticides because it not only harms the health of humans who consume vegetables and fruits but also increases the cost of cultivation.

Speaking at the closing of a workshop at Sindh Agriculture University in Tandojam, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri observed that a majority of farmers are oblivious to the health consequences of pesticides.

He pointed out that our agricultural exports are also hampered by the quality of the produce, which is affected by pesticides.
