RAWALPINDI:

Police have failed to arrest suspects who committed two consecutive robberies in Gujar Khan.

On November 4, three armed robbers entered the house of Abdul Wahab Sethi, a businessman and resident of the Scheme-I area of Gujar Khan, took the family hostage and robbed away Rs100,000 in cash and 10 tolas of gold worth Rs1.4 million. While registering the case, Sethi told the police that the robbers also snatched away a motorcycle from Afzal Zafar, who was riding it on the busy highway, while escaping.

The Express Tribune obtained the CCTV footage of the incident. In the footage, the armed bandits can be seen fleeing from the house after committing the robbery. The passers-by can also be seen running due to fear of aerial firing. In the footage, a man from whom the accused snatched the bike can be seen with his daughter on pillion.

The robbers stopped the motorcycle rider by kicking him with their feet, which caused him to lose his balance and the innocent girl can also be seen falling off the motorcycle. After falling off the bike, the girl's school bag can also be seen falling on the road. In the video footage, the three armed suspects can be seen fleeing after snatching the motorcycle.
